What up! Real excited to introduce to ya’ll one of the most talented artists/producers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Voli has been under the radar up until now, but always extremely active behind the scenes. Coming up alongside myself, J. Cole and Omen for the past 10+ years it’s been a continuous exercise in growth and creativity.
A couple of tracks to wet your appetite for the Wednesday release of Voli’s Sampler “Glass Doors” which will include production from Voli, Myself, J. Cole and Omen.

Kanye West To Perform At The MTV Video Music Awards 2010
Bum Bum Bum…
A year after infamously interrupting Taylor Swift on stage,Kanye West is set to return to the MTV Video Music Awards, UsMagazine.com has learned.
A source tells Us West, 33, is performing on the show, airing Sept. 12. (A rep for the rapper and MTV had no comment.)
The Grammy-winning rapper’s untitled fifth studio album is expected to drop this fall. He debuted a video “painting” for the first single, “Power,” on MTV last Thursday, and a follow-up single is also expected to be released in the next few weeks.

The New York Times: Kanye West’s ‘Power’ Video
The New York Times had the chance to sit down and watch the video. One thing that stands out to me is that they predict this video to be super duper controversial.
In a coming video for his single “Power” that was created by the artist Marco Brambilla, Mr. West is seen standing imposingly with a heavy chain around his neck. As Mr. West raps the camera slowly zooms out in one continuous, unedited take to reveal him in a classical structure, surrounded by female attendants who are partly or entirely nude; some kneel before him on all fours, others wear devil horns and still others are suspended upside down from the ceiling. The Sword of Damocles hangs precariously over Mr. West’s head, and behind him an unseen executioner is preparing to strike him with a blade. According to G.O.O.D Music Blog KanYe West’s Good Ass Job, Kid Cudi’s Man On the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, and Big Sean’s Finally Famous will all release on September 14, 2010. Kanye West To Perform At The BET Awards 2010

Kanye West is set to hit the stage at the BET Awards ’10 on June 27, according to an update posted on the BET website. The performance will mark his first return to an awards show since he interrupted Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
West is also nominated for two BET Awards, including Video of the Year for his work on Jay-Z’s “Run This Town,” which also features Rihanna.
The multiplatinum rapper and producer has been making a gradual return to the spotlight in recent months. On Tuesday, Kanye treated students at three different high schools in Chicago to private concerts. He was joined by fellow Chi-town MCs Common and Lupe Fiasco, who performed for the students as part of the Kanye West Foundation’s annual Stay in School event.
In May, Yeezy made a surprise appearance at a Manhattan nightclub, where he held an impromptu listening session of a few songs from his upcoming album Good Ass Job. Then, earlier this month, West’s latest track “Power” hit the Internet.
At press time, West has not announced what song he will perform at the BET Awards.

LimeWire Owes $1,500,000,000,000
Not long after the court battle defeat with LimeWire, RIAA is demanding that LimeWire pay them 1.5 trillion dollars to cover the over 200 million illegal downloads made with the LimeWire P2P software. After the math is done, that brings the cost of just one download to $750.00. If this money is awarded to the RIAA, they have plans to split the total amount among several record labels which include Motown, Warner Bros, and Sony BMG. Along with this huge amount of money, they are also requesting that all of the companies assets be frozen and the LimeWire service be shutdown. Although some may agree with this move, the 1.5 trillion may be a bit much for LimeWire to pay. However, the saying goes if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.

Besides that, Pharrell recently did an interview for a French mag in which he made the following statement about Ye’s album (which he was lucky enough to hear): “I think that people are going to be in shock. His precedent was crazy, the new one goes even further.”
On a last note, Semtex talked about the first single off the new album on his radio show:
“Okay, so I’ve heard the first Kanye West joint. I was sworn to secrecy. I’m not allowed to talk about it. All I can say is it is banging.
If that’s a taste of what’s coming on the album, he has smacked it. Lyrically….he is saying things like, ‘Wow, he said that?’ It is going to shock everybody, the first record.”
